Ana Luísa Correia Dias Loureiro holds a PhD in Transport Systems from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the same faculty. Her professional background includes roles in Portuguese companies where she performed tasks related to Mechanical and Structural project work, Project team management, Supervision of manufacturing steps, and Production planning. Throughout her PhD studies, she has conducted research focused on developing decision models and tools for the taxi industry, with a particular emphasis on assessing the efficiency of taxi operations, promoting fleet decarbonisation, and enhancing the attractiveness of the public transport. During these studies, she has mastered the use of Data Envelopment Analysis, Optimisation methods and Machine Learning techniques. Her academic production has been submitted to academic journals. Additionally, she has also served as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto, teaching Business Analytics and Statistics classes.
