Marina Posso completed her MSc degree in Microbiology at the University of Brasília, where she developed and applied a triplex qPCR assay to rapidly and accurately detect microbial genes of interest. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedicine, and her research dives into combating antimicrobial resistance by exploring synergistic combinations of antibiotics and efflux pump inhibitors through molecular hybridization. Her research interests include exploring synergistic combinations of antibiotics and efflux pump inhibitors to overcome drug-resistant pathogens, guided by in-depth analysis of resistance mechanisms.
