Pedro Miguel Cordeiro holds a European Doctorate in Psychology, obtained through the Interuniversity Doctoral Programme in Psychology, with a specialization in Educational Psychology, as a research fellow funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He has served as an invited assistant professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra (FPCEUC) and at the Catholic University of Portugal. He currently holds the position of Education and Culture Advisor at the Municipality of Leiria. His academic work includes multiple peer-reviewed scientific publications in national and international journals, as well as book chapters and conference proceedings. He coordinated the multidisciplinary team of the Integrated Plan to Combat School Failure at the Municipality of Leiria and acted as consultant for the EMISE team (Ponte de Sor Municipality), focusing on multidisciplinary prevention of school underachievement. Pedro Cordeiro has supervised Integrated Master's dissertations in Psychology and professional internships accredited by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (OPP). As a member of the expert focus group of the Directorate-General for Statistics of Education and Science (DGEEC), he contributed to the national strategy to reduce early school leaving. He has been invited to speak at conferences and seminars at national and international level, including by the University of Leuven, the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association, and the Intermunicipal Community of the Leiria Region (CIMRL). He is a certified trainer accredited by the Portuguese Directorate-General for Education and holds the professional title of Specialist in Educational Psychology and Career Guidance awarded by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association. He is also the creator of the educational technology platform TEAM, which has been implemented in several municipalities across Portugal.
