I hold a PhD in Territory, Risks, and Public Policies, and a Master's in Environmental Management and Policies, both from University of Aveiro. Additionally, I have a Bachelor´s degree in Forestry Resources Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Coimbra College of Agriculture). Throughout my academic journey, I developed a strong interest in transdisciplinary approaches, particularly in involving society in the scientific process and promoting informed, cntext-specific decision-making. My research has primarily focused on the protection of natural resources, with emphasis on soil conservation and its degradation in post-fire scenarios . I have gained experience in field data collection, applying various models (e.g., statistical and semi-empirical), and more recently, I have shifted my foxus to integrating a social dimensio into my work, exploring the role of active stakeholders participation in environmental research and in the decision process.
