Born on 14 April 1996, I began my academic journey in Chemistry in 2014 at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), where I obtained my BSc in Chemistry in 2018. That same year, I enrolled in the Master's programme in Chemistry at FCUP, with a particular focus on Materials Chemistry. My MSc dissertation was dedicated to the development of metallic nanoparticles supported on coordination polymers, applied as heterogeneous catalysts for glycerol valorisation, which I completed in 2020. In 2021, I joined a research project at the University of Aveiro through a funded research grant, focused on the development of renewable-based adhesives and coatings for the production of agglomerated cork stoppers, in collaboration with Amorim Cork. During this period, I also had the opportunity to support laboratory teaching activities in chemistry, acting as a teaching assistant and providing direct assistance to students and academic staff during practical classes. Since 2023, I have been working as a research fellow at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), where my research has focused on the synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) and the development of COF-based composites incorporating anisotropic gold nanoparticles for SERS detection of water contaminants and waterborne biotoxins. . My main research interests lie in materials chemistry, with an emphasis on the synthesis and characterisation of functional materials, particularly in the context of catalysis, environmental applications, and the development of advanced hybrid systems.
