J. Dupont is an experienced researcher focused on the metabolism and the physiology of reproduction in mammals. After completion of her PhD in animal physiology, she was a postdoctoral fellow at National Institute of Health (Bethesda, USA). Since 2001, she works as a principal investigator on the interactions between the metabolism and the reproductive functions in different species including bovine species. More precisely she studied the role of adipokines (molecules produced by adipose tissue) on the bovine ovarian functions. She was a leader of a research team (12 permanent people, 2008-2013) on this thematic. She already coordinated several national and international research programs on the fertility of the dairy cows including an european project called « Pluridisciplinary study for a RObust and sustainabLe Improvement of Fertility In Cows- PROLIFIC » (2013-2017). PROLIFIC involved 13 partners including 8 european countries. She is an associated editor for the « Reproduction » journal and she has already published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers.
