Joana S. Teixeira (JST) has a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry (December, 2024 - FCUP). In 2018 until to the present, integrated the REQUIMTE/LAQV being a team member of 3 R&TD projects, actively working on the multifunctional nanomaterials development, as well as carbon-based materials, metal oxides and chalcogenides, conducting polymers and the respective hybrids/composites. JST is expert in physicochemical (XRD, XPS, SQUID magnetometry, SEM, TEM, EDS, ICP, Raman and FTIR spectrocopy, DLS, optical microscopy) and electrochemical characterization (CV, EIS, GCD). JST has a strong foundation in Chemistry, with a specialized focus on Materials Chemistry providing her with a deep understanding of the processes involved in the preparation, functionalization, and hybridization of various nanomaterials as well as fabrication of solid-gel polymers (electrolytes). She has also been involved in the development of formulations, preparation of multifunctional materials/textiles, and coating of textile/plastic substrates for the fabrication of flexible energy storage (supercapacitors) and energy harvesting systems. JST published 7 papers, 1 proceeding article, 1 perspective article, 1 maganize article and 2 book chapters (7 of them as first author), presented 55 oral/poster communications in (inter)national meetings. She received a total of 8 awards and/or honors.
