Mariana A. Andrade completed her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2023 by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, Masters' Degree in Human Biology and Environment in 2016 by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, and her Degree in Cookery and Food Production in 2014 by Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies. Currently works at National Institute of Health Doutor Ricardo Jorge as Senior Laboratory Technician, is Team Coordinator "AGI_Lab", Product Manager of the Management Software "INSALab", Member of the Laboratory Internal Risk Committee and Member of the Informatics Committee of the Department of Food and Nutrition and Researcher in REQUIMTE LAQV Porto. Published 32 articles in international and national journals and 6 sections of books. Organized 1 event and participated in 32 events. Participates and/or participated as Research Fellow in 1 project and Researcher in 6 projects. Works in the areas of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Food and Beverages and Food Packaging and, in her professional activities interacted, interacted with 190 collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers. Her main areas of expertise are the development of new active food packaging, from biodegradable polymers, incorporated with natural with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Specialist in the determination of phenolic compounds and aldehydes resulting from lipid oxidation by UHPLC-DAD.
