Chiara Giossi recently completed her Master degree in Marine Biology at the University of Bologna (Italy) with outstanding results, and accomplished her thesis work at the University of Aveiro (Portugal) through an Erasmus+ scholarship. This work resulted in an collaboration with researchers of the MBA group (CESAM, University of Aveiro, Portugal) in the aim of the project CtLight. With thesis work and internships performed during the student years, Chiara Giossi was able to gather extensive knowledge on plant photophysiology, with focus on marine algae. Currently is particularly interested in the photo-physiology of micro- and macro-algae and their biotechnological applications for the production of high value compounds and green chemicals. Currently is working on her PhD at the University of Konstanz (Germany) under the supervision of Dr. B. Lepetit from the Department of Biology.
