Isabel Iglesias has a degree in Physics (Atmosphere and Environment, 2006), two masters in Applied Physics (2007) and in Climate Sciences (2010) and a PhD in Physics (2010) from the University of Vigo. Since 2011 Isabel is working at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR), Matosinhos, Portugal as an Assistant Researcher, developing research related with oceanic and estuarine dynamics, atmosphere-ocean interaction, climatology, extreme events, man-made interventions, climate change, marine litter and nature-based solutions. She works with numerical models applied at oceanic, coastal and estuarine regions to understand present and future hydrodynamic patterns and provide knowledge, technology and solutions for a sustainable management of natural resources and ecosystem services. She also has experience in planning, performing and analysing data obtained in multidisciplinary short- and long-term campaigns, as well as in the evaluation of remote sensing data for numerical models calibration and validation.
