Joana Dias is a Biological Engineer, who graduated from the University of Minho - Portugal in 2018. During her studies, she conducted a semester-long Erasmus+ mobility period at the University of Chemistry and Technology, in Prague - Czech Republic. From 2019 to 2021 she was involved in two research projects in the Centre of Biological Engineering - University of Minho (AlgaePlas - Biorefinery of macroalgae for the valorization of the carbohydrate fraction to sustainable bioplastics and cLabel+ - Innovative natural, nutritious and consumer-oriented clean label foods). Currently, she is conducting her PhD research entitled "Green strategies for the valorization of algae's polysaccharides for food applications".
