I am a researcher at CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research) working as project manager of the EU-funded NETTAG+ project. I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of Aveiro (2017) and my work has focused on spatial planning and management, particularly of marine and coastal areas. I have contributed to numerous national and European-funded projects, as well as technical studies for governmental agencies, focusing on Maritime Spatial Planning, Strategic Environmental Assessment, transboundary cooperation, cumulative impacts, adaptation to climate change, coastal and estuarine ecosystem services (e.g., SIMATLANTIC, SIMNORAT, PERICLES, LAGOONS). I am author of 23 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, Marine Policy, among other.
