Ana Paula Rocha is Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Multi-Agent Systems, and Computing, and has extensive experience in supervising Master’s and PhD students. She is an associate researcher of the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (LIACC) at the University of Porto. Her research activity is focused on Intelligent Systems, with particular emphasis on multi-agent systems and their social, organizational, and interaction aspects. Her work includes research on negotiation, argumentation, and computational trust in multi-agent environments, as well as on adaptive systems and computational learning. She is also interested in the application of artificial intelligence techniques to complex engineering and real-world problems. In addition to her research and teaching activities, she is involved in academic management and service activities within her institution. She is also a member of the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA).
