Luísa Maria dos Santos Carvalho

Luísa Carvalho is currently a Ph.D. fellow at the Research Centre on Education, University of Minho (with a grant from FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology). Completed the master's degree in Biology and Geology Teaching in the Secondary School, by University of Minho, at the Institute of Education, in 2014, with a final classification of 17 values. Completed the degree in Biology-Geology, by University of Minho, at the School of Sciences, in 2011, with the final classification of 14 values. Taught the course of Natural Sciences to basic education students before joining a PALOP Curricular Reform project at the University of Minho, funded by UNICEF and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Works in Social Sciences area with an emphasis on Science Education. In her academic activities, she integrated the organisation of an international conference and interacted with several researchers in co-authoring scientific works, two of them published in conference proceedings, having also participated in the edition of Proceedings and Abstracts Book of that international conference. She is also co-author of a report on the socio-professional characterisation and training needs of teachers in Guinea-Bissau, resulting from a work of consultancy for Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, and recently the first author of two articles in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal (Scopus).
