Helena Grangeia is a psychologist with a PhD in Psychology, specializing in Psychology of Justice, from the University of Minho. Since 2019, she has been working at the Collaborative Laboratory ProChild CoLAB Against Child Poverty and Social Exclusion, as a researcher and coordinator of the Child Protection unit, leading projects aimed at improving the Child Protection System, particularly in the area of Foster Care and Adoption, among others. She is an integrated member of the Research Centre for Justice and Governance (JusGov). She also teaches in various higher education programs in the fields of Clinical and Forensic Psychology, and Criminology. Her work and research interests focus on public policies for victim protection and the safeguarding of children's rights at the intersection with the justice system.
