I'm Filipe Nogueira, a 29 year-old Electromechanical Engineer by Coimbra Institute of Engineering (bachelor's degree) and by University of Beira Interior (master¿s degree). I did my professional internship in a company of metal structures, where the principal company focus was industrial buildings and wind turbines structures. This work experience gave me the opportunity to improve my knowledge in different fields such as, quotation, 3D CAD projects, quality control, production management, robotics (programing a welding robot) and challenging myself, creating a maintenance department. Through this internship I acquired the sensitivity of what is possible or not in a metalwork company. Between 2016 and 2018, I joined an international group in the area of plastic injection molds. Initially as a tool engineer, projecting molds (3D CAD), supporting production and leading technical meetings with customers. Later on, I was challenged to incorporate a small team of design feasibility of molds (DFMs), whose main goal is to designing 3D CAD preliminaries, providing customers with a fast response of the 3D concept with part analysis and part proposals. After tool approval by the customer, my function it's to give the tool designer technical support. At the begining of 2019 I started to work as a study engineer in France. There, my main responsibility was to study different solutions and concepts for the customer. However, due to my background in molds I worked as consultor too, gaving technical support about plastic parts to design teams. Now, I'm a Research Grant Holder at CDRSP - Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development where I have been involved in several projects of AM and composites characterization. From these projects I highlight three: Add.Additive - add additive manufacturing to Portuguese industry in which I provided support in components printed through a 6-axis robot and, in the characterization of the produced components; ¿Next.parts - next generation of advanced hybrid parts¿ in which I had an important role in the assembling, testing and adapting the prototype; and lastly in the TT2V - transformtires2value, in which I have supported the creation, characterization and industrial tests of composites with different tire percentages, for the production of parts with high technical requirements.
