Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Alagoas (1986), Master in Architecture from Université Catholique de Louvain (1993) and PhD in Urban Planning from The London School of Economics and Political Science (2010). She is currently Adjunct Professor 4 at FAU / UFAL, working in the Architecture and Urbanism course and in the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism (PPGAU / FAU / UFAL). She is leader of the research and extension group Nucleus of Studies on the Statute of the City (NEST) and a collaborating member of CIAUD and Gestual of the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon. She has experience in the area of Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on Urban Space Planning and Design, working mainly on the following topics: social housing; participatory urban-environmental planning and management; socio-territorial development and public policies; small and medium-sized municipalities, and urban poverty and the right to the city.
