From 2013 to 2019, he was a member of the Institute for Nanostructures, Nanomodelling, and Nanofabrication (I3N), the Physics department, University of Aveiro, Portugal. During this period, he has worked on his Ph.D. thesis with the title of Encapsulation of iron oxide-based nanoparticles in silica shells for biomedical applications. Besides his Ph.D. studies, he has been in collaboration with other research groups in Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, France and, Iran. Ali also was involved in activities related to science communication and outreach events promoted by the Physics Department University of Aveiro, as a scientific monitor at “Summer Academy” in 2017. Up to now, he has published 15 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and his publishings have got over 185 citations with an 8 h-index according to google scholar. He has presented her research works in several national and international conferences including 4 oral presentations and 7 posters. Ali Salehizadeh completed his Master in Solid State Physics in 2009 in Iran and before continuing his research aboard he worked as a lecturer in several public and private universities in Iran. His main research area is the physics of materials with potentialities in biomedical applications. He mainly deals with the electrical/electrochemical and also magnetic properties of the materials with a scale from nanometer to bulk. He has a huge experience in the fabrication of nanomaterials, coatings, and ceramics (in amorphous and crystalline forms) using diverse synthesis techniques including wet chemistry methods, dc magnetron sputtering, laser processing, and high-temperature ceramic processes. Since March 2019, he has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of the surface engineering group, Centre for Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Processes, the University of Coimbra led by Professor Albano Cavaleiro. His main responsibility is to develop DLC based nanocomposites coatings and characterize their electrochemical/electrical and also mechanical properties. He has served as a reviewer for several international scientific journals among them; Physica Scripta, Materials Science & Engineering B, Journal of Physics Condensed Matter, and Materials Research Express.
