Daniel Carlos Ferreira Silva has degree in bachelor in philosophy from Faculty Saint Louis (FSL), Brusque, Saint Catherine (SC), Brazil. Actually, he courses degree in bachelor in psychology in the Catholic Universitary Center of Saint Catherine (Católica-SC), in Joinville (SC). He also is menber of the Institute of Philosophical Studies (IEF) of the Faculty of Letters of University of Coimbra (FLUC) and menber of the editorial commitée of the publication Studia Poinsotiana of the IEF. Within his activities in the IEF, his research focus covers the strategic area "Care, Patrimony and History of Philosophy", concentrating in the thought and work of John Poinsot (John of St. Thomas). Furthermore, he developes researches on the primum cognitum in the theory of knowledge of Thomas Aquinas and on the sentient intelligence on the philosophy of intelligence of Xavier Zubiri.
