Ana Carvalho obtained her degree in Biochemistry in 2018, in the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto (FCUP) and Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, University of Porto (ICBAS). For the final degree Project/Internship in Biochemistry, she studied the side effects of chemotherapy agents on the brain of differently aged mice at UCIBIO/REQUIMTE, Laboratory of Toxicology in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP). From September 2018 and forward, while continuing researching on the neurotoxic effects of chemotherapy on the mice, she enrolled in the Masters in Analytical, Clinical, and Forensic Toxicology in the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Porto, finished in December 2020. Currently, she is in the last year of the PhD programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the field of toxicology in the Faculty of Pharmacy in the University of Porto.
