Rita Cunha is Full Professor of Human Resource Management at Nova School of Business and Economics(Nova SBE). Rita has a B.A. in Psychology, from ISPA, an M.A. in Human Resource Management, from New York University, a PhD. in Management, from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and Agregação, in Human Resource Management, from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is the author and co-author of several books, text-books, book chapters and articles in academic journals, such as Human Resource Management, International Journal of HRM; Journal of Organizational Change Management; European Management Journal; Leadership; International Business Review; or Journal of Managerial Psychology. Her published research, over time, focuses on the impact of privatisations on organizational culture, HRM and individual stress, on change management and on impact of HRM on organizational performance, both from a content and a process perspective. She was Vice-President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, and Editor-in-chief of Management Research, as well as member of editorial boards and reviewer of several national and international academic journals, such as Human Resource Management, Journal of Managerial Psychology, European Journal of International Management, British Journal of Management, Revista Portuguesa de Gestão. She extensively presented her research in national and international symposia and academic conferences, such as the meetings of the Academy of Management, the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, EAWOP. She was Program Chair and Member of the Scientific Committee of the 4th International conference of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, Faculdade de Economia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon. She created and managed the first university career management service in Portugal and was Academic Director of the MBA, coordinator of the international office, and Academic Director of the CEMS MIM. She was Deputy Dean, Pre-Experience Studies and Academic Director of the Master in Management and Master in Business Analytics. Her teaching, both at degree programs and executive education, are concentrated in Strategic Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Change Management, Team Leadership.
