Beatriz Agostinho is a PhD student of Chemical Engineering at the University of Aveiro. She completed her Marters' degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Coimbra (September 2019). After this period, she moved in November 2019 to the University of Aveiro after being awarded a research fellowship to work on the design of new polymers and their (bio)degradation study. In December 2020, she was awarded a PhD grant to work on "New sustainable approaches for eco-recycling of polyesters wastes into novel (bio)degradable polyesters". Since she started her work at the University of Aveiro, she became the author of two papers published in Green Chemistry which have been selected for the front cover and 2022 HOT Articles by the journal. In 2020 she joined the COST Action FUR4Sustain (CA118220) about renewable-based polymers and has been part of the science communication group and the organization of multiple COST events.
