I am a researcher specialized in Archaeometry, that earned my PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage - Conservation Science, in december 2022 at Nova School of Science and Technology (NOVA University of Lisbon), supported by a PhD grant from FCT-MCTES (PD/BD/114409/2016), at DCR/FCT-UNL, in partnership with Center for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies (C2TN), Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon University, working namely with chalcolithic pottery of the Lisbon region. My research focuses on analytical techniques and methods applied to characterization at a textural, mineralogical and chemical level, including studies of the provenance of raw materials and production techniques, for a better knowledge of materials, necessary for any heritage intervention and essential in construction of theories about the use and circulation of materials in the past. I also integrated a research group that pursues the understanding of polychromy practices in sculpture medieval and modern sculptura, in the porject Archaeology of Colour, in a post-doc (2023). Earlyer (2014), I carried out the conservation and restoration of a medieval and modern collection of ceramics from Azemmour (Morroco). In the same subject, I finished my Master degree in Conservation and Restoration in 2015, with a dissertation entitled "Medieval and modern ceramics from Azemmour (Morocco) - textural, mineralogical and chemical analysis, also at DCR/FCT-UNL. In addition to scientific work, I have an extensive experience in ceramic, glass and stone restoration, and also in mural painting and metal, acquired over more than 10 years, working with pieces of national and international importance, collaborating with renowned units such as the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia, Centro De Arqueologia Da Universidade De Lisboa (UNIARQ), (Centro De Humanidades Da Nova FCSH) CHAM, Museu da Famácia, Benfica Museu Cosme Damião – Sport Lisboa Benfica, Palácio da Pena, Neoépica and Arqueohoje.
