Monica Figueiredo is CSO, CEO and co-founder of TWEVO Lda., a Portuguese startup providing reliable Edge-AI computer vision solutions for the Industry 4.0. She is also an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic of Leiria and a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and published more than 40 papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences, in the areas of high-speed reconfigurable electronic systems, visible light communications and edge computing with artificial intelligence. She and her team won the ITU AI/ML in 5G Grand Challenge promoted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 2022.
