Carla Martins Lopes is Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at University Fernando Pessoa in Porto, Portugal. She is graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences and obtained her PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (2006). Her research interests are the controlled delivery of drugs across biological barriers and the design, characterization and evaluation of colloidal carriers for different applications (pharmaceutical, food industry, cosmetical).
