My academic background lies at the intersection of management, business, and accounting. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Science (2009) and a Master of Accounting (2005). Currently, I am enrolled in the doctoral program in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy at the University of Vigo, expected to be completed by the end of the first semester of 2024. In 2005, I joined the School of Technology and Management as an invited assistant teacher, which allowed me to embark on an academic career. Throughout my academic and scientific journey, I have focused on various aspects of management processes, particularly those related to accounting and earnings management, small and medium enterprises, family businesses, and corporate governance. These themes warranted both qualitative and quantitative approaches to explore these phenomena from different perspectives. Over the last years, I have held some management positions within academia, mostly involving team management. Previous roles as director of the Higher Professional Technician in SME Management and Business, as well as subdirector of the Bachelor’s in Business Sciences, have contributed to the professional development of numerous individuals, some of whom have remained in academia. During this period, I have also contributed to the career development of researchers by supervising their research (MSc: 2 completed). Throughout my academic career, I have contributed to scientific production in various ways: 3 papers published in international scientific journals, 1 book chapter, and 2 presentations at international scientific conferences (to date).
