Francisco Luís Faísca is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the Sustainable Chemistry Programme at the NOVA School of Science and Technology and the University of Porto. His doctoral research focuses on the transdermal delivery of antibiotic drugs using Ionic Liquids and Organic Salts to combat antimicrobial resistance. He earned his Master's Degree in Bioorganic Chemistry from Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia in November 2019 and completed his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at NOVA School of Science and Technology in December 2016. Francisco has published two articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been recognized with an award for Best Flash Presentation in Medicinal Chemistry at ENQO14. Additionally, he has contributed as a Master's Student Fellow in two projects. In his Ciência Vitae curriculum, Francisco's research interests are prominently reflected in terms such as antivirals, organic salts & ionic liquids, COVID, SARS-COV-2, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, and Ionic liquids.
