Manuel Pedro Fernandes Graça (MPFG) holds a degree in Physics Engineering (1998), a Master’s in Science and Materials Engineering (2000), and a Ph.D. in Physics (2006), earned through a collaboration between the University of Aveiro (UAveiro) and the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Brazil. Following his Ph.D., he worked as Director of the Energy Department at Prirev-Surface Technology S.A., a researcher at UAveiro and i3N, and is now an Associate Professor with habilitation at UAveiro. He is also an invited professor in the postgraduate Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering at UFC. MPFG specialises in solid-state physics, focusing on the electrical and magnetic properties of materials and micro- and nanomaterials processing. A founding member of i3N, he has authored or co-authored 2 books, 30 book chapters, over 350 peer-reviewed articles, and 3 patents/utility models, achieving more than 7,000 citations and an h-index of 44 (Google Scholar). Included in Stanford University's list of the top 2% most influential scientists since 2021. He has delivered over 50 oral presentations, including 11 plenary sessions in the past five years. He has supervised 56 postdocs, 13 Ph.D. students (7 concluded), 39 Master's dissertations, and 55 international short-term projects and served as a jury member for numerous academic defences and competitions. MPFG was Editor-in-Chief of "Electrical Measurements: Introduction, Concepts, and Applications" book and contributed to the International Energy Agency’s Task 39 on polymeric materials for solar thermal systems, co-chairing two international meetings. Since 2006, he has led 9 funded projects, participated in 8 others, and coordinated 8 international collaborations with institutions in Europe, North Africa, India, and Brazil. He also developed academic courses at UAveiro, including "Micro and Nano Processing Techniques" (2010–2019) and "Topics in Nanomedicine" (since 2019). In 2022, he created the "Introduction to Nanomedicine" course for international Master's students, funded by ERASMUS+. MPFG has held leadership roles as a member of the Physics Department Council, Scientific Council of UAveiro, and coordinator of the i3N-PAMD group, managing five research lines and 85 researchers.
