My Ph.D. thesis in Mech. Eng. under the title of “Experimental and numerical investigation on forced convection of ferrofluid in horizontal tube partially filled with porous media under magnetic field” recognized as the best one in the defended year. My multidisciplinary Ph.D. subject leads to introduce a new non-dimensional number, Yahya number (Ya), governs magnetic fluid flow was published in J. Magn. Magn. Mater. which was a great achievement for me. Results of my PhD thesis have already published in 4 outstanding journals and one is still under review. Prediction of rheology of nanofluids and its thermophysical properties from experimental data by considering agglomeration effect, Brownian motion and statistical mechanic as well as transition process control to reach nano magnetic powder were also as parts of my PhD thesis. To handle numerical part of my PhD program, I write a tough FORTRAN code using CFD techniques and for experimental part, experimental setup with accurate instrumentation installed in Heat Transfer Lab. Recently, I was a post-doctoral fellowship in Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), University of Aveiro. I had engaged with Future Passive Optical Network (FutPON) and after deeply reviewing most of recent state-of-the-art, I simulated transient characteristics of Peltier device and Thermo-Electric Cooler (TEC). Thermal management and tunability was our achievement which is crucial in Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC). An analytical closed-form solution for the transient 1D P-N junction and a 2D numerical solution were developed and as a result of a good corporation with my colleagues, two Journal with one conference paper are already accepted in a short period. Moreover, I had worked on microfluidic fabrication and modeling for photonic sensors to be used in environmental contamination detection. Currently, I am working for Dept. Mech. Eng. in University of Aveiro (UA), as a post-doctoral fellow for the “Smart Green Home” project, granted by BOSCH Co, rely on new strategies for the supervision and control of energy consumption that improve energy efficiency and user comfort in buildings, based on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning. In order to start this project, I passed an extensive online lessons on AI, regression, clustering, classification, deep learning, TensorFlow and artificial neural network (ANN). Different methods of multi-objective optimization (particle swarm, differential evolution) and architecture of ANN have been integrated into Python code platform to be used in the smart supervised control. For co-simulation, appropriate model is developed in PtolemyII in the platform of Building Control Virtual Test Bed (BCVTB) software to synchronize Python code and EnergyPlus software. Moreover, I have simulated the transient conjugate heat transfer for phase change material (PCM) in a shell-tube heat exchanger for domestic hot water (DHW) application. As it was declared by the juries, due to my potent potentials and professional resume, I was accepted also as a member of Center for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA), which is the most powerful R&D center in UA. In addition, I have served here as a co-supervisor for two MSc Theses: one is under the title of “modeling the dynamics of gas heating systems for predictive control tests” and the other “Study and design of a Tesla turbine using computational tools” in which thermohydrodynamic characteristics of Tesla turbine has been investigated using CFD method. Moreover, in this period, I have been honored to be as an editorial board in the journal of “Petroleum and Chemical Industry International” and “Int. J. of Petrochemical Science & Engineering” as well as “J. of Engineering Technology and Applied Sciences”. Currently I am also a reviewer of Elsevier Journals such as Engineering and Computational Mechanics and J. Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry.
