Jorge Oliveira is currently an Assistant Professor at Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique, located in Porto, Portugal, teaching courses in the field of exact sciences. He finished 3 post-Docs research activities as Research Fellow, in the fields of biomedical signal processing, cybersecurity and machine learning. One R&D project co-funded by the FCT (DigiScope2) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, one R&D ITEA European project (CyberFactory#1) and one R&D Horizon2020 project (Seccoia) at Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development. He concluded his PhD. degree in Informatics, in 2018, at University of Porto, Braga and Aveiro. He is an Author or Co-Author of 7 journal manuscripts, and more than 17 international conference proceedings, all with international referees and indexed at SCOPUS or IEEE platforms. He has (co)supervised 6 MSc activities, having some active roles running. His domains are in the areas of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, Other Engineering Sciences, with an emphasis on signal and image processing. He was a member of the organization committee of RECPAD 2019 (Conferência Nacional de Reconhecimentos de Padrão) conference. He co-organized the prestigious The George B. Moody PhysioNet Challenge 2022 entitled Heart Murmur Detection from Phonocardiogram Recordings. He co-founded VisitPlann company. He is currently the Chief-Executive Office of VisitPlann.
