Vera Cardoso holds a Master degree in Applied Marine Biology (2022) and a Bachelor's degree in Aquatic Sciences (2016), from the University of Aveiro, and the Institute of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Porto, respectively. She is a research fellow in the Water Quality group at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL, Braga), as a member of the FCT funded NASCADIA project. She has proven experience in photophysiology, ecotoxicology, and diatom biosilica manipulation for nanotechnological applications. Vera is co-author in two scientific papers and has participated in several conferences with oral and poster presentations throughout her academic and professional carrer.
