Diogo Dias is currently a research intern at the G-Quadruplex Team within the RISE-Health Research Centre at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Beira Interior. Under the guidance of Professor Carla Cuz, he focuses on the biophysical characterization of pre-miR150. His interest in pursuing an academic path began to develop during his secondary school education, where he developed the project titled “Thermo-Optical Characterization of Nanomaterials,” supervised by Professor José Ramiro at the University of Trás-os-Montes. Diogo completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at the University of Beira Interior, where he developed and presented a final project titled "In-Cell Evaluation of G-Quadruplexes in Lung Cancer Cell Lines".
