Mónica Silva holds a European PhD in Information and Communication in Digital Platforms from the University of Porto, University of Aveiro and University of Vigo. She is a collaborator at DigiMedia, Digital Media and Interaction Research Centre, and she is a co-founder and expert on territorial development, developing a brand that aims to create a tourist experience through the historical roots of places and people. She was a research fellow at DigiMedia (BI/UI73/10244/2022) and a visiting professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She holds a master’s in Tourism Administration and Management and a master’s in Architecture—Construction and Technology, Heritage Rehabilitation. Completed a professional internship at the UN World Tourism Organisation and collaborated with Architects Without Borders on the Avieira Culture UNESCO candidacy.
