Cristiane Souza holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Faculty Ruy Barbosa, 2007), a Master's degree in Cognitive Science (University of Lisbon, 2015), and a PhD in Psychology (Iscte-IUL, 2023). Her doctoral research on the interface between Neuropsychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Cognitive Neuroscience, focused on the interaction between declarative memories in older-aged individuals and individuals with autism. She has over ten years of professional experience as a Psychologist with expertise in neuropsychological interventions and community health. She also has extensive experience in teaching and management in higher education. Cristiane is a member of the BEC (Behavior, Emotion, and Cognition) research group (Cis-IUL) and has collaborated in teaching and supervision activities at the Department of Psychology, Iscte-IUL. Additionally, she provides training and supervision to undergraduate and graduate research interns in experimental research, data collection, treatment and analysis using neuropsychology and psychophisiology tecniques. Recently, she has collaborated with Iscte-Health to support management, training, and development activities. Her scientific production includes several peer-reviewed publications on neurocognitive aspects in typical development, developmental disorders, and, more recently, aging populations. She has collaborated on several research projects with national and international teams. She also serves as an expert reviewer for important scientific journals and is involved in editorial and health-related outreach activities. Her current scientific interests are related to the preservation of cognitive health throughout human development and well-being in aging and neurodivergent development.
