Magda Ferreira Rodrigues

Life Sciences Researcher with a strong academic foundation, holding a BSc in Biochemistry and a MSc in Biomedical Research specializing in Neurosciences from the University of Coimbra. Proficient in a wide range of laboratory techniques and with Modular Training in Laboratory Animal Science. Published author, active participant in scientific conferences, and recognized for excellence in a poster presentation. Research experience includes a research fellowship in the Advanced Therapies Group, where her primary focus was using a microfluidic system as an in vitro blood-brain barrier model to study the BBB and the challenges associated with therapeutic brain delivery. She also worked as a Research Fellow in the VCoelho-Santos Lab on the project "Deciphering the neonatal shift in neurovascular coupling: a multimodal approach". Currently, Magda Rodrigues is enrolled in the PhD programme in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Coimbra with a funded FCT grant entitled "Neurovascular Coupling Development: Astrocytic Endfeet as the Key Link Between Neurons and Vessels".
