Diogo A. Fonseca, PharmD, PhD in Pharmacology and DMD, is a researcher and invited Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Care of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra (Portugal), with special interest on the study of vascular ageing and vascular pharmacology. He is a member of the Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research (iCBR) and Center for Innovative Biomedicine and Biotechnology (CIBB) of University of Coimbra and has habilitation for the execution of animal experiments by DGAV. Since 2021, he is also a member of the Network for Research in Vascular Ageing (VascAgeNet - COST Action 18216). Regarding scientific output, has published a total of 21 journal articles in indexed journals (16 in the last 5 years and 18 since completion of PhD): 10 as first author and 6 as senior author, 6 in journals in the JCR/Scopus top 10% . In addition, has published 1 book chapter (in 2016) and 3 conference abstracts in indexed journals, having participated in over 25 scientific events or meetings (1 as member of organization). Over the course of his academic career, has supervised a PhD thesis in Pharmacology (concluded), 4 MSc dissertations in Applied Pharmacology (concluded) and 22 undergraduate students (3 ongoing) and has participated in a total of 37 academic juries (1 PhD, 7 MSc and 29 Undergraduate). Works in the area of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Basic Medicine, specifically on Physiology, Pharmacology and Pharmacy.
