José Manuel Damil Vicente is an electrical engineer specializing in power systems and energy conversion. He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering – Energy Systems at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, in 2020 and 2022, respectively, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Porto’s Faculty of Engineering. Since 2022, he has been a researcher at the SYSTEC-ARISE, where his work focuses on wide band gap semiconductor converters, advanced control techniques, and onboard energy storage systems for railway applications.
