Inês is a biomedical engineer with a strong desire for knowledge and challenges. In her master’s degree, she worked with a multidisciplinary team to improve a motorized smart walker for the rehabilitation of ataxic patients. After her master's, she embraced a new project in neuroscience, applying electrophysiology techniques in animal specimens to study cognitive function. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate focused on using artificial intelligence approaches to quantify stress through brain networks. Biomedical Engineer (MSc) and PhD in Health Sciences with a multidisciplinary background in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, innovation, and R&D project management. With over 10 years of experience in applied and fundamental research, Inês specializes in the intersection of health, technology, and innovation. Currently serving as Director of the Applied Research & Innovation Department at SISTRADE Software Consulting, Ines coordinates multiple international and national innovation initiatives. She maintains an active presence in R&D events, supervises internship and thesis projects in an industrial setting, and contributes to disseminating applied scientific knowledge through technical publications, posters, and oral presentations. With a strong international and national network, Inês fosters the growth of a self-sustaining research team.
