Yasmine Loza (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7448-8016) holds her PhD in Human Rights and Social Sciences (2020) and her master’s ‘Roads to Democracy(ies)’ in Political Science and International relations (2015) from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. She pursued her bachelor’s at the American University, Cairo, Egypt (2012) majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. Yasmine carried out her postdoctoral research at the Centre for International Studies, University Institute of Lisbon (2021) and is currently a research fellow at the Portucalense Legal Institute, Portucalense Infante D. Henrique University, Porto, Portugal (2023). Her lines of investigation contribute to the pursuit of socio-political critical analyses within global and local contexts and across interdisciplinary domains including law and media cultures. Yasmine's research trajectory is scientifically committed towards redressing the gaps between South and North, politics of representation, security, and identity markers to traverse boundaries and promote equal access and exchange across intercultural societal terrains in the international community.
