Larissa Almeida is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Tourism at Aveiro University, Portugal. Alongside her doctoral studies, she holds a Master’s degree in Management and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, both from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, and a postgraduate certificate in Education for Sustainability. Larissa serves as a research fellow at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, and Tourism (DEGEIT) at Aveiro University. Throughout her career, Larissa has fulfilled roles as a lecturer in various hospitality colleges and also delivered courses, workshops, and seminars to professional organizations. As a partner and director at Loa Consultancy, Larissa has collaborated with several entities as a consultant, aiding in structuring initiatives and ecosystems using creative capital as a platform in the tourism and creative economy sectors. Additionally, she co-founded and serves as a board member of Recria – Brazilian Creative Tourism and Experiences Network. Larissa is the author of two books on Creative Tourism for practitioners, in addition to contributing to several book chapters and manuals. Furthermore, she has presented her studies at prestigious scientific events.
