Elisa Martins obtained her Biotechnology degree in 2018 at the University of Aveiro. She concluded her master's degree in 2021 in Biomedical Materials and Devices, at the same institution, where she presented her MSc Thesis focused on "Hydrogels derived from human chorionic membrane as an innovative platform for 3D cell culture". Currently, Elisa is a PhD student from the doctoral program in Biotechnology (University of Aveiro) and conducts her research work at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials. Her PhD project is focused on the development of bioactive and bio-inspired human-based scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering.
