I graduated in Marine Biology from the University of the Algarve in 2019. I hold a Bachelor degree in Applied Ecology from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and a Master degree in International Trade and Environmental Economics from the University of Economics in Prague. Since June 2018, I have been working as a Master Student Fellow in MARSW project at the Centre of Marine Sciences (Fisheries, Biodiversity and Conservation research group) in the field of mapping and monitoring of Marine Protected Areas. In my master thesis, I evaluated the effects of Sagres marine reserve (South of Portugal) in demersal fish community, based on two stereo-video methods. Within MARSW project, I have been responsible for reserve monitoring using stereo-video and for mapping of macroalgae cover using SCUBA diving. I have also performed statistical analysis of the sampled data, prepared reports and scientific publications. Based on my studies and work experience, I gained skills in stereo-video data processing (VidSync, SeaGIS), statistical analysis of biological data (R project, PRIMER) and in producing map outputs in Geographical Information Systems (ArcGIS, QGIS). I have previous work experience as Monitoring system administrator at Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic (2015-2016) and as Software tester at Clearstream Operations Prague (2011-2014).
