Sérgio Gonçalo Reis Mendes

My name is Sérgio Gonçalo Reis Mendes, and I am currently a student of the Ph.D. Degree Course of Pharmaceutical Sciences taught at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra. In 2019, I have completed the Master´s Degree Course in Microbiology (16/10/2017 to 19/12/2019). Through this course I did an internship at the Laboratory Medicine Service of the District Hospital of Figueira da Foz, E.P.E., having performed several tasks in the Microbiology and Molecular Biology Sectors. Prior to the Master´s Degree Course, I have completed the Biotechnology Degree Course (10/10/2014 to 18/09/2017), in which I was able to increase my knowledge in several areas such as Biology and Microbiology. As part of it, I did a scientific internship in Molecular Biology in Poland, under the "ERASMUS + Mobility" program, having participated as co-author of the final scientific publication. Previously to completion of the Biotechnology Degree Course, I have concluded the Technological Specialization Course in Environmental Quality (09/09/2013 to 29/07/2014), and in 2013 I have concluded the Professional Technical Course in Laboratory Analysis (09/09/2010 to 13/07/2013). During my academic path, I took several advanced courses, for example, the Courses "IV Cell Culture and Tissue Training Course", "Competency-Based Skills Training in Animal Research", "Advanced Course in Scientific Writing and Communication", among others.
