Ana Marta Praça Dâmaso Ferreira is a geneticist from University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. She concluded her Master's degree in Legal Medicine at Universidade of Porto; it was during her master thesis entitled "Papel da Variabilidade Genética na Depressão em Doentes Autoimunes" that enriched technical and research for the beginning of her scientific and professional career. Nowadays, she is a research fellow in the Immunogenetics laboratory (ICBAS-UP), embracing a project entitled "Genetic and Epigenetic Biomarkers of Disease Progression in MS Portuguese Patients (EpiMS)". She also collaborates actively in other ongoing projects, aimed the investigation of autoimmune or neurological diseases. Her scientific activities are translated into more than 10 oral and poster presentations in national and international congresses and 3 published papers and 2 papers submitted for publication in peer-review journals.
