ISABEL CAMPELO - recording studio session singer, solo vocalisT, vocal coach, composer and singer-actress. A doctor in Musical Sciences and researcher at INET-MD Lisbon, she concluded her Master thesis in 2010 and her doctoral thesis in December 2019, as well as a post-graduation on Acoustics and Sound Studies on the same year. She has participated in several international conferences and her publications include the articles "A Sense of "Otherness": The Use of the English Language in the Construction of Portuguese Pop-Rock.”, in Interrogating Gazes: Comparative Critical Views on the Representation of Foreignness and Otherness. Edited by Monserrat Cots, Pere Gifra-Adroher & Glyn Hambrook. Bern, Berlin, Bruxelles, Frankfurt am Main, New York, Oxford, Wien: Peter Lang, 2013. 343-350, and “The “virtual” producer in the recording studio: media networks in long-distance peripheral performances”, in The Art of Record Production - Creative Practice in the Studio, Vol.2, Edited by Simon Zagorsky-Thomas, Katia Isakoff, Sophie Stévance and Serge Lacasse. She also published two articles in the ARP journal (JARP, issues 6 and 10). In 2020, she became a member of the EUROVISIONS research team, where she has been co-author of articles and oral presentations as well as co organizer of the teams’s annual conference (already in its seventh edition in 2024).

This was an online conference (due to the pandemics) broadcast to youtube with invited speakers associated to the Eurovision Song Contest in different roles.
