Ludovico Solima is Full Professor of Economics and Business Management at University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Invited Professor at University of Macerata (Italy). He is regularly invited as guest lecturer by numerous universities, international organizations. He began his route in museum management studies in 1996 from a business administration background, after a degree in Economics at the University of Naples Federico II and a PhD in Economics at the University of Venice. He works in the area(s) of Economics and Business with emphasis on cultural management of cultural activities. His interests have involved him in theoretical studies – through the publication of 9 books, 5 section(s) of books and several articles – and field research on behalf of Public Institutions such as Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage (MiBAC), National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), and Archaeological Park of the Colosseum (Rome), especially in marketing and visitors behaviour issues. His research interests are the application of new technologies and accountability issues in museum sector. He is the scientific coordinator of Megaride s.r.l., a private company which carries out researches, strategic and managerial consultancy for public and private institutions in the cultural field. He is founder and member of the Advisory Board of Fondazione Fitzcarraldo of Turin. He is the President of the Evaluation Board of Naples Fine Arts Academy and Coordinator of the PhD course in Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Second University of Naples.
