Angela Martins completed her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lisbon's Instituto Superior Técnico in 2007. She also holds a Master degree in Physical Chemistry at the University of Lisbon's Faculty of Sciences in 2000, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon's Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa in 1997. She is an adjunct professor and vice-president of the chemical engineering department at the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute, Higher Institute of Engineering of Lisbon, as well as head of the Physical Chemistry and Catalysis laboratory. She has published 43 articles in specialised journals, and six book chapters. She has co-supervised one PhD student, supervised 12 Master's dissertations and co-supervised nine. She has participated as a researcher in two projects and as a principal investigator in four projects. His work focuses on Engineering Sciences and Technologies, particularly Heterogeneous Catalysis and Adsorption with zeolites, covering synthesis, modfications, characterization and catalytic applications both in gas and liquid phase.
