Tiago Gil Silva Paiva, BsC Química Aplicada - 2013 Faculty of Sciences New University of Lisbon de Ciências e Tecnologia MsC Química Bioorgânica em 2015 in the same university. My MSc thesis focused on the synthesis of C3 symmetric compounds that assembled into supramolecular structures and its study by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Since then, my main research interests focused on ionic liquids and the uses of this versatile technique in materials science. From 2016 to 2018 I was a research fellow in Cenimat|I3N on paper artwork preservation, aiming to develop new strategies to clean fungal stains using polymerised ionic liquids, PILs. During that work I gained expertise in the synthesis of this kind of materials and its characterisation by NMR. Since 2019, I am a FCT funded PhD fellow in the same institute, my PhD thesis focuses on the development of polymeric ionic liquids based materials as new high capacity and safe electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries and its study by NMR and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
