I completed my MSc in Ecology in 2009, during which I had the opportunity to develop my skills on GIS (Geographic Information Systems). During my PhD, which was concluded in 2019, I worked with bird-plant interactions, especifically seed dispersal by birds, under a network framework. I have a strong interest in community ecology, especially in using a network approach to frame conservation issues. Aided by the holistic point-of-view provided by such a network approach, I aim to understand how species interact at the community-level and how these interactions drive important ecological processes, particularly pollination and seed dispersal. Specifically, I seek to understand how these natural communities are affected by and how they recover from anthropogenic and natural disturbances.
