2025/06/02 - 2025/06/16 Deep sea-research expediton, onboard the RV Pelagia, for the exploration of the seamount of the Gorringe Bank. In the scope of the TwinDEEPS project (CIIMAR), the overarching goal of this expedition was to advance knowledge on the biodiversity, ecosystem functioning and environmental dynamics of this seamount in view of supporting its management and conservation. To this purpose, i was mainly involved the the collection and filtration of water and sediments from different depths to future eDNA extraction for microbiome/biodiversity analysis.
